The American Baseball Coaches Association and
Inside Pitch Magazine have announced that Inside Pitch will be published six times per year on a bi-monthly basis starting with the March/April 2018 issue, which recently reached subscribers’ mailboxes. Inside Pitch is the official magazine of the ABCA and was previously published on a quarterly basis.
Since 2015, all current ABCA members have received a free subscription to Inside Pitch Magazine. Print and digital subscriptions are available to the general public and the magazine is also distributed at several baseball events throughout the year. Articles and information are available on

“This is a great enhancement to an existing ABCA membership benefit as well as for anyone interested in learning about the game of baseball,” said ABCA Executive Director Craig Keilitz. “We have gotten very positive feedback from our members and our Board of Directors about Inside Pitch Magazine and we are delighted to provide more issues on an annual basis.”
Inside Pitch promotes integrity, thought, development and instruction in a direct, unique and first-class manner. Since its inception in 2012, many of the game's premier players, coaches and administrators have been involved with the magazine, helping to cover a variety of topics relating to the amateur baseball landscape.
“We are very proud of the magazine we have been producing since 2012 and this is a great expansion to go from four to six issues,” said Keith Madison, Publisher of Inside Pitch and a member of the ABCA Hall of Fame. “Additionally, I would like our readers to know that we welcome their feedback and suggestions, and we will use them to help deliver the type of content they are looking for as we move the magazine forward for years to come.”
The ABCA’s
Covering All Bases newsletter will now be incorporated within the pages of Inside Pitch Magazine, with all information and articles moving into a larger Inside Pitch.
Moving forward, the six issues will be January/February (distributed at the ABCA Convention), March/April, May/June, July/August, September/October and November/December.
The addition of Inside Pitch Magazine as a benefit for ABCA members in 2015 is one of the many enhancements for the association in recent years. In 2014, the ABCA put all of its clinic videos online and created a 30% discount for current members. In 2015, the ABCA purchased Personal Liability Insurance that covers all members who reside in the United States. In 2016, the ABCA started its now-popular Barnstormers Clinics, introduced several other member discounts and started the Calls from the Clubhouse podcast. These are in addition to many other
ABCA membership benefits.
The ABCA was founded in 1945 and hosts the World’s largest baseball coaching convention in the world each January. The 2019 ABCA Convention will be held Jan. 3-6, 2019 at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas.
